The same problem here, on Samsung rf511 with Intel chipset. I my case this is related with unknown display that I found in gnome-control-center. At beginning I turned it off and now I realized this prevents from waking up. It is really annoying, because I can only have one workspace enabled, cannot use dynamic workspaces and my mouse cursor travel behind the screen edge.
