The workaround from #21 does not work. It just happend again. Sometimes the wrong layout is already set right after boot and you have to change it before you are able to login or sometimes it happens when switching to another window.
I have two Acer laptops, both have been upgraded from 13.10 to 14.04 and both have this problem.
