I have to correct myself. Kernel 3.7.10 does not solve the issues with nouveau. The only difference is: it does not always freeze after resume, but sometimes it also does. With later kernel version it always freezes.
In many years as a Ubuntu user my experience is, that the free graphic drivers (nouveau, radeon) never worked satisfying, and this has not changed until now. The proprietary drivers always worked better, and I hope they gain control of the problems with nvidia driver. At the moment I think it's best to downgrade to 12.04 and wait for a half year or a year. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1111884 Title: 10de:0611 nouveau fails at suspend/resume - PAGE_NOT_PRESENT To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1111884/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
