Just to let people know:
Have just updated my 10.04 with Linux ubuntu1004 2.6.32-62-generic #125-Ubuntu
SMP Mon Jun 9 16:05:41 UTC 2014 i686 GNU/Linux
and Firefox all seems to be OK now.
So thanks if the bug (bugs) were investigated after all or perhaps its just
that kernel ...62 was differs fortuitously in that respect from ...61
