Just tested the same hardware again on kernel 3.13.0-30-generic
#55-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 4 21:40:53 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64
GNU/Linux.
Same behavior as already described.

situation above (device working in USB3 condition) reproduces the bug
situation below (device working in USB2 condition) works

It would be a good thing to write again politely. I'm overwhelmed with work, so
if someone affected by the bug may knock again at the list and developer to
