You don't want to help if I use the manual installation? That's OK for me. If I can get the 3D acceleration working without the manual install, please tell me how to do that. What do I need to do to get back from the current situation and get a working 3D? I'm ready to try what ever you suggest if that will fix the problem. But like I said, I have already tried pretty much everything, except reinstalling Ubuntu.
