@Joseph Is it 3.13 or 3.16? I think there is no need to patch 3.13 as very soon 3.16 will be default in trusty 14.04.2 and lts-utopic will be suggested for all trusty users. I tested it on trusty, because I do not have utipic on this laptop. It makes no difference as it is a very simple kernel patch.
