Could you also send the patch with a CC to [email protected] ? That way it will make it's way into the upstream stable releases. There is some info on this in the kernel tree documentation: ~/Documentation/stable_kernel_rules.txt I'll send and SRU request for Utopic while the patch makes it's way through stable.
