reached EOL on May 9, 2013.

If an upgrade would be possible for you, you will need to uninstall any
PPAs and proprietary software packages (ex. nvidia), as well as remove
the sources for any PPAs, prior to attempting an upgrade. If this
doesn't work, you will want to backup your data, and do a new install of
a supported release via http://releases.ubuntu.com/ .
