I'm inclined to say we are facing different problems on this case. With
the HP Proliant scenario I would like to recommend the following kernel
boot parameters (/etc/default/grub):

"intel_idle.max_cstate=0 nox2apic intremap=off"

It looks like these servers don't support x2apic and/or IRQ remapping.
It also looks there can be a bug into intel_idle module. I'll document
my findings in here today. I would like to please ask anyone with
Proliant Servers DL360 and/or DL380 to test the following boot
parameters and check for stability AND to provide me core dumps from the
panics.
