I'm finding xhci unreliable across the board since 14.x, worse in 14.10 Scanners (usb2) that previously worked in usb3 ports now do not work, causing seg faults in applications and all kinds of errors in dmesg. (segfault at 0 ip 00007f1f79b9dd3f sp 00007f1fa283ca10 error 4 in libsane-genesys.so.1.0.24[7f1f79b4f000+6e000])
