Oh YES Christopher, I installed the latest upstream kernel from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.19-rc6-vivid/ (last
updated 26-Jan-2015 as of today, 31-Jan-2015), and the suspend/resume is
*fully* working now.
Thanks very much again for your detailed instructions, without which I
wouldn't make it so far. I'm so happy!
