Ok, I'll give it a try next weekend, butt no guarantee of success because I've always been using the Frugal Install method to boot Ubuntu without burning any cd/dvd (Ref: http://sfxpt.wordpress.com/2014/02/18 /ubuntu-frugal-multiboot-installation-without-burning-any-cddvd/). If the suspend/resume works in such environment, then I'll let you know.
