Has this been resolved yet?
I'm completely new to Ubuntu so I was delighted to see my Belkin USB
dongle autodetect and that the Network settings saw my wireless hub no
problems.
I too get a complete crash when I use the activate button.
I've tried to use the command line method detailed here but I get no
response from the DHCP server... and I'm wondering at what point I would
put my SSID into the command line.
I'm using 6.06 LTS (Dapper Drake)
