Could be in ubiquity or sddm, picking one for now until we know what's
up here.

what does that mean? Does it disable that job somehow? ubiquity-dm is
for the "install without live session" mode, it shouldn't be involved in
the live session at all.

Either way, need to download a Kubuntu and look into this properly.
