I like seeing a lot of information on my screen, so why not introduce a smaller minimum size for the (compact and detailed) list views? In the new minimum size: * the lines could be shifted closer together, * the font could be switched to a smaller one, * the icons could become even a little smaller, * in compact list view, the columns could step a little closer. In general, Thunar is superb: Just a lightweight, er... file manager! Stable, without tons of things to slow it down. With this little improvement it would defnitely beat them all. There's an attachment that shows /half/ of my music list in Thunar (compact list view, smallest size). Windows Explorer and Nautilus can show /all/ of it on the very same display (1400x1050).
