[UPDATE] I applied the advice which appeared int he earlier referenced article involving blacklisting the I2C mode of the clickpad, and it worked. My current kernel version reports.
$ sudo uname -srv [sudo] password for kevin: Linux 3.13.0-49-generic #83-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 10 20:11:33 UTC 2015 The touch screen and the USB-connected mouse continue to be available, and all gestures and settings in touchpad-indicator work as expected. This change should be integrated into the stock installation. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1380809 Title: only touchscreen working, touchpad enabled but no response To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1380809/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
