Hi, I just tried Ubuntu 15.04 which embeeds pulse audio 6.0. In the sound settings panel, I can switch to 2.1 profile, and within test panel, everything works just fine : Left, right and subwoofer.
*But* when I launch any sound application, there is no sound through subwoofer. I tried Gnome videos, vlc and firefox. Is there something wrong with the applications? I think this is weird because if the application outputs stereo tracks, then pulse/alsa should be able to generate a subwoofer track (mix+lowpass) and then output 2.1. Am I wrong?
