This problem has been resolved for me. I've just installed ubuntu-
desktop with all its dependancies without problems.

Resolution:

For some reason dapper-updates for deb did not exist in my sources.list
file. dapper-updates for deb-src was there though. I added one for deb
and changed all repositores to the english mirrors (from no to en). Did
an apt-get update && upgrade followed by install ubuntu-desktop which
finally worked.

Not sure what specifically caused the previous error. My sources.list
file said it was edited by EasyUbuntu, perhaps it's related (or perhaps
i mistakenly removed that line myself, although I doubt it).

The norwegian mirrors might also be at fault, I changed them to the
english ones because the ones I were using couldn't be reached at the
moment.
