This problem has been resolved for me. I've just installed ubuntu- desktop with all its dependancies without problems.
Resolution: For some reason dapper-updates for deb did not exist in my sources.list file. dapper-updates for deb-src was there though. I added one for deb and changed all repositores to the english mirrors (from no to en). Did an apt-get update && upgrade followed by install ubuntu-desktop which finally worked. Not sure what specifically caused the previous error. My sources.list file said it was edited by EasyUbuntu, perhaps it's related (or perhaps i mistakenly removed that line myself, although I doubt it). The norwegian mirrors might also be at fault, I changed them to the english ones because the ones I were using couldn't be reached at the moment. -- "Can't install 'ubuntu-desktop'" https://launchpad.net/bugs/48776 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
