Problem still exists in 14.04 The 'mount' command does not recognize the 'credentials' keyword used when '-t cifs' is used.
However: * With or without the 'cifs-utils' packageinstalled, the 'mount' command *does* recognize the keywords 'username' and 'password" and passes it to the appropriate module; * If the package 'cifs-utils' is installed, the 'credentials' keyword is recognized by 'mount' and the remote point is properly mounted. Hope this helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/594420 Title: The mount command in Ubuntu 10.04 does not recognize the credentials keyword for cifs filesystems in the /etc/fstab file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/util-linux/+bug/594420/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
