Problem still exists in 14.04

The 'mount' command does not recognize the 'credentials' keyword used
when '-t cifs' is used.

However:
* With or without the 'cifs-utils' packageinstalled, the 'mount' command *does*
recognize the keywords 'username' and 'password" and passes it to the
appropriate module;
* If the package 'cifs-utils' is installed, the 'credentials' keyword is
recognized by 'mount' and the remote point is properly mounted.

Hope this helps.
