Public bug reported:

I switched my bluetooth headset on, it says it's connected.
Selecting it in the audio settings doesn't enable it, sound still comes from
the internal speakers.
Switched my headset off and on again, no effect - usually this would have made
it work. The headset doesn't indicate it's connected this time.
Headset is still visible as a non-functional device in the audio settings.
Meanwhile the sound indicator has disappeared.
