I installed gedit-plugins and gedit-latex-plugins via the ubuntu
software center. After opening gedit, non of the selected plugins seemed
to work, so I deactivated and reactivated the latex plugins which
worked. But with the snippet plugin gedit crashed every time I tried to
activate the plugin after deactivating it.
I have installed the Gnome3 PPA for the missing bits of gnome 3.14
Steps to reproduce*:
- Install gedit-plugins and gedit-latex-plugins.
- Open gedit (a new window or an existing file will do)
- Open the settings and move to the plugins tab
- Make sure that the latex plugin is enabled (otherwise the error will not
occur)
- Uncheck the "Snippet" plugin
- Check it again
* I haven't tried it on another machine but these seem to be the
principle steps, as I recently installed Ubuntu GNOME 15.04 so not many
changes were made since.
