Hi all. I too had the problem, much the same way as I had with 14.04 LTS some months ago. This time I followed this post and managed to uninstall fglrx-* packages and get my system to boot again:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/620869/15-04-installed-fglrx-amd-ati- drivers-wont-boot But anyways, I agree with those who said that it's unpleasant to be faced with the issue of a non-functioning system basically within the last 3 releases or something. It could be OK for non-LTS releases, because you know you're about to get the bleeding edge software, but I hope that would not come again on the next LTS :) In the meantime, a huge THANKS to all the people involved in the fix. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1493888 Title: FGLRX incompatible with kernel 4.2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-release-notes/+bug/1493888/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
