To correct my solution: it is special key    Fn + F7  which toggles touchpad.
Accidentally I must have pressed this sometime after installation.
I mixed it with Alt+F7 which enables graphical Desktop when I switched from 
console (Alt+F1 ... Alt+F6) to Desktop.

A linux shutdown and new start will not enable touchpad until Fn+F7 is pressed 
again!
A restart does not work on my netbook because it does shutdown only.

Please put this to netbook hardware hints for Acer Aspire E3-112.
Other users will enjoy not making my failure :-)
