To correct my solution: it is special key Fn + F7 which toggles touchpad. Accidentally I must have pressed this sometime after installation. I mixed it with Alt+F7 which enables graphical Desktop when I switched from console (Alt+F1 ... Alt+F6) to Desktop.
A linux shutdown and new start will not enable touchpad until Fn+F7 is pressed again! A restart does not work on my netbook because it does shutdown only. Please put this to netbook hardware hints for Acer Aspire E3-112. Other users will enjoy not making my failure :-) Peter -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1507352 Title: touchpad does not work on acer aspire E3-112 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1507352/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
