By the way, I don't think this is a problem with the actual intel driver
(if, indeed, I have the same problem as the original reporter). I tried
to suspend and resume using the old i810-driver to narrow down the
problem, and it failed also. In ubuntu versions prior to gutsy I've
always been able to suspend and resume. So I would guess the problem is
with the xserver or the mesa parts of the driver.

I really hope this bug can be squished :-)
