Hi again, I am really sorry to be spamming this bugreport. I' m just commenting to say say that I was probably mistaken in my last comment. Right now I'm using the old i810 driver and suspend + resume works just fine with compiz running. The failure I referred to before must have been due to something else. So; resume fails with the intel driver only. (Sometimes even going into suspend mode seems to fail with the intel driver).
