Thanks to Brian Murray for directing this to the correct group.
("ubiquity" should be changed to "installer" or something intelligible
so it is clear what the package does.) But I have a question, where
does ubiquity (or grub) get the bogus list of 2 OSes that are no longer
on my computer, particularly the one that hasn't been there for 3-4
years? That is probably where the problem is. The correct list it
should use is in the boot.ini file on my C: drive Windows XP boot disk.
Why doesn't ubiquity (or grub) get the list from there? Micro$oft
hasn't produced a decent OS for almost 15 years, it's a failing company
(like IBM was 25 years ago). I'd really like to abandon Micro$oft and
use only ubuntu, but I think there is a little more work to be done
here. (Just my 2 cents.)
