This mirrored bug description is quite muddled, it includes all the
history of this not-previously-mirrored feature request dating back to
14.10.
We currently have gdb 7.10 in xenial. If there are patches on top of
that which are viable and which you are going to need for 16.04, please
let us know what they are.
