Hello!
Your teminal log shows lines like 'invoke-rc.d: initscript mysql, action
"stop" failed.'
Can you run manually 'sudo service mysql stop' and then see in syslog
and /var/log/mysql/* logs why the server fails to stop? It is something
specific to your system.
Installs and upgrades do not work if stopping/starting the service does
not work.
