Peter Grandi, doesn't unattended-updgrades' automatic removal of new unused dependencies take into account file "/etc/apt/apt.conf.d /01autoremove-kernels"? `apt-get autoremove` does. BTW. I think /etc/kernel/postinst.d/apt-auto-removal should be run during boot to ensure that "/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/01autoremove-kernels" protects the running kernel.
