The last kernel version that did work is 3.19.0-23-generic #24~14.04.1, which was pre-installed on the new computer.
After updating to a more recent kernel the wi-fi stops working. I made it work again by re-installing the original system through system recovery option. I will now run the software updater again and post the logs as required in answer #3 above from my other computer. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1545916 Title: intel wifi [8086:3165] (rev 79) failed to work after updating the system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1545916/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
