Public bug reported:

Hi!
Since Ubuntu ships AppStream metadata in its archive (starting with xenial),
shipping static data in a package is no longer necessary.
In fact, if the package is accidentally installed on a system, it interferes
with the fresh data from the archive server due to AppStream-ID collisions.

Please remove the appstream-data package (and all binary packages) from
xenial.

appstream-data has no reverse-dependencies anymore.

Cheers,
    Matthias
