Public bug reported:

The 0.170-0ubuntu1 version of mame that has been uploaded to xenial-
proposed only builds on amd64.

  https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mame/0.170-0ubuntu1

On 32-bit archs, this appears to be a problem of memory exhaustion while
linking. On other 64-bit archs, there are other, sourceful errors.
Regardless, this is a regression, and this version of mame isn't going
anywhere until it has been resolved.
