Public bug reported:
The following problem was reproduced in Kubuntu 16.04 beta2, but other
desktop environments might also be affected. So I'm using the proxy
configuration of KDE5 so that ubiquity can download and install updates
during installation. However ubiquity doesn't just ignores these proxy
configurations. Maybe Gnome's and Unity's proxy settings are also being
ignored.
The only proxy settings ubiquity is using seem to be the env variable
http_proxy.
P.S.: Not sure if it makes a difference whether the proxy needs
authentication or not. Mine does.
