Hello! Thank you for this bug report.
I don't see evidence of a crash here. It looks like the init script
attempts to detect if a HWRNG is available and, if not, exits non-zero.
Can you reproduce this issue using an Ubuntu kernel?
If not, I'd suggest compiling virtio_rng into your custom kernel rather
than leaving it as a module.
