On Macbook Air 7.2 (running Mate 16.04) closing lid suspends correctly after initial boot. Sometimes works for several cycles. Usually on second and subsequent cycles, the machine resumes again after a few seconds, while the lid is shut. From then on, this behaviour is consistent and does not change. Also same problem after manually placed into suspend from power menu.
Workaraound: Disable XHC1 For example: echo XHC1 | sudo tee /proc/acpi/wakeup (toggles XHC1) This completely fixes the problem, and subsequent lid close/open works as it should. uname -r 4.4.0-18-generic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1559882 Title: Macbook Air resumes immediately after suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-lts-vivid/+bug/1559882/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
