Public bug reported:
gnome-shell crashes randomly on my system about once a week. This is preceded
by a soft lock (lock of the gui, CTRL-ALT-F1 switching to console still
possible) of 10-30 seconds. This happens mostly when a busy task is running in
a gnome-terminal with multiple tabs open. The gui remains active and terminal
remains existing, but it becomes invisible. It shows up in the selection when
pressing the super key, becomes active, but is not displayed, when being
selected. However, it remains completely invisible. Commands can be executed
when typing blindly, the window menu can be opened with alt-space.
