** Summary changed:

- Nautilus can't move files in a stable way
+ Nautilus can't move files (at least images) in a stable way

** Description changed:

Like people said in this report :
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1133477 Nautilus
  is unstable when moving files.

This is a severe critical bug on a modern desktop and the joke is that
the bug hasn't been assigned since 3 years and the importance is
  "undecided"!!

So I will help you : the importance is "CRITICAL" and the bug must be
  assigned as soon as possible!

The bug is easily reproducible, cut a folder with 1000 images and paste
  it in another destination.

I got two kind of results :
  1) Nautilus displays a popup saying that it is preparing the move, but the
popup progression is stuck and after minutes nothing happens. After killing
Nautilus I found that some files has been moved, at the speed of a 1990
computer while my computer is recent and fast.
- 2) (another day) Cut/Paste two images folders from a Nautilus tab to another
: the whole Unity desktop has crashed. I had to turn off computer with hardware
button, loosing unsaved data. After reboot I saw that the images was moved.

I can't imagine to use a desktop not able to move files, this is a
sooooooo basic feature! Will you consider this issue seriously?
