Hi All,
Before my bug report per se, I'd like to tell you why I opened a new bug
report.
I wanted to add more info to bug report "alt-tab only show desktop"
(#1532318) with both my comments, and useful info generated by the
ubuntu-bug program running in a temporarily well functioning session (to
ease debugging, since I already did a report from a failing session).
So I ran the ubuntu-bug program which collected system info and uploaded
them to Ubuntu bug servers. Then I was automatically redirected to some
WEB form where I had to type a short description of the bug I witnessed.
I did it, being aware that the bug tracking system will offer me to
choose among a list of similar known bugs in order to avoid opening a
new bug report.
However, many times now, I witnessed dramatic failures of Ubuntu bug
tracker system to suggest me similar bug reports to choose from. It's
appalling and had me to open a new bug report.
Now, let's go to the crux of the matter, my new bug report per se, or
rather my addendum to bug report #1532318 :
All seems good within this session.
Why a bug report then, would you argue ?
Because I made ubuntu-bug program upload my system and session data to
the Ubuntu bug servers from within both a failing session and a
functional session, allowing developers to inquire into that matter.
Here, in bug #153318 and my followings (this message), we talk about
task switcher (Alt+Tab) bug plus open apps tracking by the launchbar,
but I would like to add as a side note that my applications menus
function well in this session (from where I type this message), contrary
to while I *had* trouble before, and I certainly will have very soon as
soon I restart my session (see bug report #1575865/#1532226).
