Stephen, good to hear. Sounds like we are on the right track. I would agree.
Currently testing 4.1.23 which is the last in the 4.1.x line and it seems stable. I will now attempt to see if i can test any of the releases in between. I will try 4.1.5 first if i can. The odd thing about all the ones in between 4.1.23 and 4.2.0 stable are all marked as unstable. Not sure what that means, but perhaps that hints that this bug came from an unstable kernel line that was never completely fixed. These are the only kernels in this ppa that are marked as such. Wish me luck. current status: 4.1.23-040123-generic #201604281334 good 4.2.0-040200-generic bad -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575467 Title: [Dell Inspiron 3451] WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 1297 at /build/linux-lts- utopic-vy2yyy/linux-lts- utopic-3.16.0/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_display.c:1743 vlv_wait_port_ready+0x126/0x170 [i915]() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1575467/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
