I have continued to re-install using many different USB MemorySticks. I have switched from using UEFI USBKey to instead using legacy USBKey. I have noticed that an additional error appears now that the copy function has failed, etc., etc. My computer mostly has USB 3.1, but there are a couple of USB 3.0. With those I get the same errors, just a little longer to get there.
With the change to not using UEFI, I now have the menu that appears in the install routine. I have run the checkdisk routine and it always comes up stating that 1 file is in error without identifying which one it is. I have used GParted on another computer and re-formatted my USB drives before using UNETBootin to get the latest version of Kubuntu Daily Live-64bit. Despite this extra effort the check disk routine still always comes up with the same error. Next I am going to use a USB 2.1 hub to put the USB Memory Stick for my next attempt. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1589122 Title: Yakkety crash during install setting NTP To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1589122/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
