Public bug reported:
Since updating my laptop from Wily to Xenial, I get a muted sound
notification displayed at the lightdm screen, and when my session opens.
See screenshot.
Killing indicator-sound-service also displays the notification when it
restarts.
In .cache/upstart/indicator-sound.log, I get:
