Public bug reported:
Problem description:
When I am at home, my phone connects to wi-fi and reports it is using my local
wi-fi network. However, I have discovered that the phone, thought it says it is
connected over wi-fi, is actually using my cellular mobile data plan to
download videos, updates, etc.
To get my Ubuntu phone to use my wi-fi connection, I have to disable
celluar data.
Having the phone use the cellular data plan when connected to wi-fi gets
expensive very quickly.
Expected behaviour:
Whenever possible, the phone should prefer the available wi-fi connection over
cellular data.
Phone OS/model:
Ubuntu 15.04 (r14)
Meizu Pro 5
** Affects: ubuntu-system-settings (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
