I tried to reproduce this a few more times. Usually the phone did prefer wi-fi as expected, but the phone did stick once on mobile data. The odd thing is, the output from ping and route commands on the command line show the device is properly going through my local wireless network (192.168.2.x). However, the IP address in the wi-fi settings panel shows an IPv6 address which is associated with my phone carrier, not my WLAN: fe80:6a3e....
Maybe the settings panel is improperly showing an IP address which is no longer in use and just needs to be refreshed? That would be a less serious and easier to fix issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1608249 Title: Phone prefers mobile data over available wi-fi connection To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-system-settings/+bug/1608249/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
