Why is this a problem? The codecs aren't a very large package. If you
(or anyone else) happens to install Chromium, they can benefit from the
extra codecs without having to know about manually installing an extra
package. ubuntu-restricted-addons is about easily installing quite a few
extra codec packages, many of which probably won't be needed for any
specific person.

I'm going to go ahead and close this bug.
