ubiquity: ['/usr/share/ubiquity/install.py'] exited with code -11
That's a segmentation fault in a Python script, which is pretty weird
under normal circumstances, and indicates a problem reading from the CD.
You also have lots of this kind of thing in your syslog, supporting this
theory:
Jul 4 18:27:16 ubuntu kernel: [4294686.667000] hdd: media error (bad sector):
status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
Jul 4 18:27:16 ubuntu kernel: [4294686.667000] hdd: media error (bad sector):
error=0x30 { LastFailedSense=0x03 }
Jul 4 18:27:16 ubuntu kernel: [4294686.667000] ide: failed opcode was: unknown
Jul 4 18:27:16 ubuntu kernel: [4294686.667000] end_request: I/O error, dev hdd,
sector 1329784
Jul 4 18:27:16 ubuntu kernel: [4294686.667000] Buffer I/O error on device hdd,
logical block 332446
I suggest burning the CD at a lower speed (if applicable) and cleaning
the CD drive lens with the sort of cleaning kit you can get at
electronics shops; then perform a CD integrity check before starting the
install again.
