Public bug reported:
I heard that the open source driver for rt2500 works with recent updates
in Gutsy Beta, so I gave it a shot. After installation, network manager
could see available networks, but couldn't connect to my WPA protected
network, which has hidden essid. Setting up configuration manually
didn't work either. I had to blacklist the module (rt2500pci) and use
ndiswrapper instead.
My system:
Ubuntu Gutsy (most recent snapshot)
Linux Tomahna 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Wed Oct 10 06:00:47 GMT 2007 i686
GNU/Linux
Card used:
Edimax EW-7128g (rt2500 chipset)
** Affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
