@martin - I tested the proposed package, and it's workable, but there are behavior changes still compared to prior to when this regression was introduced (in particular, the boot is a lot slower when there are mulitple NICs but only one will be configured, even when I use "ip=:::::eth0:dhcp").
@scott - I think I agree with you.
