I started a test using the Ubuntu Xenial amd64 current daily iso file (dated 20161013). I created a *persistent live* drive with mkusb (and selected not to use the mkusb tweak to stop unattended upgrades). The new casper 1.376.2 was in the -proposed repo but not in the iso file, so I updated & upgraded it. (I installed synaptic too, to get a good overview of the repositories etc, so there is more data already in the casper-rw partition.)
I'm looking forward to the result tomorrow and maybe day after tomorrow, if there are any unattended upgrades, and what the log file looks like. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1619188 Title: Unattended upgrades can break persistent live media To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/casper/+bug/1619188/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
