Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better.
I can confirm this issue, 'Mont-real' is listed among the suggestions during this part of the 16.10 installation. I looked a bit into it, and if I'm reading the source correctly, it takes what the user typed in and tries to look it up in a list of cities with timezones. This happens over a URL, for instance http://geoname- lookup.ubuntu.com/?query=mont&release=yakkety when searching for 'mont'. On of the first matches listed here is 'Mont-real', so I gather that it is the underlying list with city names which needs an update. I don't know where this list resides though. ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Tags added: bitesize -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1641327 Title: There is a typo in the name of the city Montreal (Canada) in ubiquity, the Ubuntu installer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1641327/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
